20+ years service celebrated

Rototek has celebrated and thanked their longest serving team members with a 20 years’ service award.

Seven of the Newark-based employees have been an integral part of the team for over 20 years and this was acknowledged during an informal awards ceremony at Rototek’s HQ on Sylvan Way. During the event, the team members were presented with a certificate and received £750 in holiday vouchers, additional annual leave and a dinner voucher for a celebratory meal. The seven team members are: Ed Prime, Maintenance Engineer, Jo MacFarlane, Customer Account Administrator, John Stokes, Factory Manager, Wayne Evans, Production Manager, Mick Monk, Project Engineer, Linda Cree, HR Manager and Shaun Mills, Director.

Sean Conway, Managing Director, said: “The long service awards have been a real joy to be involved in and it was fantastic to acknowledge and celebrate our colleagues who have been part of the team and on the Rototek journey for 20 years plus, it’s a considerable achievement”

“We are lucky that we have a really friendly and skilled team here and hope that we provide a good working environment and a place people can choose to progress in. Having so many choose to stay with Rototek for so long is hopefully testament to that. On behalf of the whole team I would like to say a big thank you to Linda, Mick, Shaun, Ed, Wayne, Jo and John for your commitment to the business and long may it continue!”

Jo Macfarlane, Customer Account Administrator, said: “I joined Rototek straight after school at 16 in 2001 and I’ve not looked back. Working here enabled me to do my NVQ2 in Business Administration through the Chamber of Commerce which was a great opportunity. It’s the management, my colleagues and our customers that make my job so enjoyable and the reason I have stayed in the team for so long”

Shaun Mills, Director, said: “I joined Rototek 25 years ago in 1996 and I can honestly say each day holds a new challenge and every day is a school day. Learning new things and working with the team here is a pleasure and makes the work enjoyable and keeps the passion for this industry alive.”
